Miranda July is a filmmaker, artist, and writer. Her books include a collection of stories, No One Belongs Here More Than You, and a novel, The First Bad Man. She wrote, directed and starred in The Future and Me and You and Everyone We Know — winner of the Camera d’Or at Cannes. July’s participatory art works include the website Learning to Love You More, Eleven Heavy Things (a sculpture garden), New Society (a performance), and Somebody (a messaging app.) She made an interfaith charity shop in Selfridges department store in London, presented by Artangel. Her newest book, Miranda July (Prestel, April 14, 2020), is a complete retrospective of all her work to date. July's third feature film, Kajillionaire, was released in Fall 2020. Raised in Berkeley, California, July lives in Los Angeles.
