Folding the Page: Exhibitions

As part of issue 3 on Folds, we staged exhibitions and events across two sites, at Tate Britain and Chelsea Library, showcasing innovative and unexpected uses of the fold. ‘Folding the Page’ began with a one-day workshop at Tate on 25th November, followed by the opening of our exhibition at Chelsea Library.

More information coming soon.

Folds: Schools workshops

In connection with Inscription issue 3, our editor Simon Morris ran a series of paper folding workshops for pupils at schools in Yorkshire and the North East: Staynforth Selective, St Joseph’s Selected, Cambleforth and Girlington Primary. These outreach workshops taught pupils about the tradition of paper folding and them through the process of making their own Bottari folded book, inspired by the design of our journal.

Holes exhibition

To celebrate the launch of issue 2 on Holes, our exhibition at No Show Space in Bethnal Green, London ran in October and November 2021. Curated in collaboration with Fraser Muggeridge Studio and Aslak Gurholt, this multimedia exhibition explored bookish experiments with holes of all kinds.
